C13 Visa for Foreign Seafarers
C13 e-Visa for foreign crew joining (sign-on) a vessel in Indonesia: single entry, 60-day stay, processed in 3-5 working days.
Overview
What is included.
The C13 Visa is a single-entry e-Visa for foreign crew arriving in Indonesia to join (sign on) a vessel. The stay is 60 days and the visa is valid for 90 days. The application is filed by a sponsor in Indonesia, i.e. the ship agent, and is processed in 3-5 working days once documents are complete. It follows Permenkumham 22/2023.
Nusantika files the C13 e-Visa as sponsor, and can continue with airport pickup, ground transport, hotel and boat to the vessel. Crew arriving aboard their own ship do not need C13 because they are handled through ship clearance.

Questions
Frequently asked.
What is the C13 Visa?
C13 is the Indonesian visa for foreign crew arriving to join a vessel (sign-on): single entry, 60-day stay, valid for 90 days.
How is C13 different from C1/D?
C1/D is a United States transit/crew visa and does not apply in Indonesia. To join a vessel in Indonesia, foreign crew use C13.
How long does the C13 e-Visa take?
Usually 3-5 working days once documents are complete, so file as early as you can before the sign-on date.
Who acts as sponsor?
The sponsor is the ship agent in Indonesia. Nusantika files the application and prepares the sponsor letter online, so the seafarer does not need to visit the KBRI.
Do crew arriving aboard their ship need C13?
No. Crew arriving aboard their own ship are handled through ship clearance. C13 is for crew who arrive separately to join a vessel.
