Visa & Regulatory Formalities
Indonesian e-Visa processing for foreign seafarers and guests, with Nusantika as sponsor - mainly the C13 Visa for crew joining a vessel, plus visit visas and stay-permit extensions.
Overview
What is included.
The C13 Visa is a single-entry e-Visa for foreign crew arriving in Indonesia to join (sign on) a vessel: 60-day stay, valid for 90 days, processed in 3-5 working days once documents are complete by an Indonesian sponsor, i.e. the ship agent. It follows Permenkumham 22/2023.
Nusantika files the C13 e-Visa as sponsor, along with other visas often needed around vessel operations such as C2/D2, C17/D17, C20, C1/VoA, C7A and C8A/C8B, plus EPO and ITK/waters ITAS extensions. The right visa depends on the purpose of the visit; our team confirms it before filing.

Questions
Frequently asked.
What types of visas can you process?
Most often we process the C13 Visa for foreign crew joining a vessel. We also file business and technical visas (C2/D2, C17/D17, C20), visit and event visas (C1/VoA, C7A, C8A/C8B), EPO, and ITK and waters ITAS extensions. Tell us the purpose of the visit and we will confirm the right visa.
Do I need to go to the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI)?
For E-Visa (Offshore), the process is 100% online so you no longer need to visit the KBRI. We will handle the entire application process digitally.
What is the C13 Visa and how is it different from C1/D?
C13 is the Indonesian visa for crew arriving to join a vessel (sign-on): single entry, 60-day stay, valid for 90 days. C1/D is a United States transit/crew visa and does not apply in Indonesia. Crew arriving aboard their own ship do not need C13 as they are handled through ship clearance.
How long does the visa processing take?
For the C13 e-Visa, processing usually takes 3-5 working days once documents are complete. Other visa types vary and we confirm at filing.
Can I extend my existing stay permit?
Yes, we file ITK (visit stay permit) and waters ITAS extensions as sponsor, in line with applicable regulations. Extensions must be filed before the stay permit expires.
What documents are required for a C13 Visa?
For a C13 Visa you need: a valid passport scan, a white-background photo, and a joining letter from the shipping company naming the vessel and joining port. We prepare the sponsor letter and file online.
Is there a guarantee the visa will be approved?
While we cannot guarantee 100% approval (final decision rests with immigration authorities), we have an excellent track record with a success rate above 95% due to our experience and thoroughness in document preparation.
What if the visa is rejected?
If the visa is rejected, we will help analyze the reasons for rejection and provide consultation for reapplication. We will also help improve documents that are not compliant.
